About
The Blog
Welcome to my little compilation of ramblings, in which I touch on all manner of subjects, from faith to family, from love to life, and everything in between. The purpose of this blog is, quite simply, to shine a little light on all the beautiful, messy, and often overlooked facets of life. Please don't hesitate to make yourself at home - there's plenty of room for friends in this little hobbit hole o' mine.
Feel free to call me Isabella, Bella, or even Bee (anything but Izzy, really). I grew up a bit of a nomad, but currently home is beautiful, western North Carolina. I am the eldest of eight children (seven earthly, one heavenly), and I am engaged to an amazing man by the name of Ryan. I am staunchly Catholic, hopelessly in love with the Lord, and consider myself incredibly blessed to be enwrapped in the Church. My ultimate aim is heaven, and you can anticipate hearing a lot about my faith on this blog.
I am, at present, pursuing an online master's degree in Communication Sciences & Disorders. I hope to make a career serving children on the spectrum as a Speech-Language Pathologist. If I'm being honest, however, my end goal is to be a stay-at-home mom. The deepest desire of my heart is to be a mother; one who homeschools her children and spends her days serving as a pillar of domestic life, just like my mother before me.
Some other things to know about me: I am, likely, singing at any given moment; I religiously listen to Spotify; I have Tourette Syndrome and OCD; rain makes me feel alive; my favourite color is yellow; I'm an Anglophile; I'm naturally brunette/auburn-ish but I dye my hair red and I have the soul (or lack thereof) of a redhead; I dislike spaghetti with a passion; I once jumped off a bridge because my friends told me it would be fun (don't worry, there was water and it wasn't that tall); I have performed in 20+ theatre productions; I have eaten crickets; I love to travel; and I dress like Bilbo Baggins mixed with Audrey Hepburn, combined with a fifties playwright, and fused with Carl Fredricksen. Make of all that what you will!
